FAQ - Is it okay to use reverse osmosis (RO) water with Noritz tankless water heaters?
Article Number: 189 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Fri, Nov 21, 2014 11:23 AM
Reverse osmosis water cannot be used with Noritz tankless water heaters. RO water will eat away at minerals in the copper heat exchanger. Over time the copper heat exchanger will develop pinhole leaks.
Noritz recommends the H2flow or Scaleshield products to effectively mitigate against scale build-up.
